![]() There are several shops to visit including the Great Wolf Kids Store, which is next to the Buckhorn Exchange. Now it was on to the rest of the hotel, including the Great Wolf Adventure Park! The food was good but pricey – it was over $40 for four of us. ![]() I really wanted to try the River Canyon Run, where 4 people can ride down a slide on a tube together, and they can pick one of four movie themes for your ride! However, the lazy river and other activities kept us pretty busy.Īfter the water park we had lunch at the fast food restaurant in the water park, called Buckets Incredible Craveables. I admit that the majority of the time my son and I relaxed on a tube on the lazy river, while my daughter and her friend went down the slides. There was so much to do here, between the slides, the tubes, the lazy river and wave pool. The next morning, I attended a great media breakfast and the rest of my family enjoyed a breakfast buffet at the Campfire Kitchen restaurant. Here’s what one of the two story time shows includes: The place was always hopping! The big screen was a hit for story time and parents could take pictures of their kids with the characters including Wiley and Violet, the wolves. I loved that they even included a guide to help you identify the different gemstones and minerals.Įvery day there are activities including an interactive story time, balloons and even yoga for kids. This was my 7-year-old son’s favorite activity. The kids get to pan and sift through their own bag of sand where they’ll find beautiful gemstones and minerals that they get to keep. ![]() Then the kids tried out the nearby mining activity. Soon the kids made a dash for the arcade, where they quickly racked up tons of tickets to redeem for prizes. It was very nice, though there are many other room options including some with bunk beds ( see my other post with details and pictures).Īfter we arrived, we ate at the restaurant upstairs called Hungry as a Wolf, and we sure were hungry as we gobbled up this pizza and salad.Īfterwards we went to a fun media reception where the kids got to decorate and eat cookies. We arrived on a Friday evening and checked into our room which was a Standard Family Suite, the most common room you’ll find here. We got to experience them and have to say – even a weekend was not enough to fully experience it all, but we definitely did more in one hotel than we ever have before! The Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington is actually where the Water Park of America used to be, but there’s a LOT more to do!Īfter undergoing a $30 million renovation, there are now a ton of new features in addition to the 75,000 square foot water park. (Update: ALSO CHECK OUT MY SECOND REVIEW after our Summer Visit to the Great Wolf Lodge!) It’s perfect for a mid-winter stay-cation in Minnesota, plus it was our daughter’s 10th birthday weekend so she brought a friend, which made it the best celebration ever! The Great Wolf Lodge is now open in Bloomington, and my family recently stayed for an amazing weekend.
